The documentation of the Study Centre includes:

• a database of 15th-century paintings of the Southern Netherlands and the Principality of Liège, arranged according to artist, location and subject matter,

• a specialist library including some 6000 publications. The catalogue is not available on line. It can only be consulted in the Study Centre.

• a photographic archive containing over 35,000 photographs, including details, infrared photographs and x-radiographs.

The documentation cannot be lent but can be consulted in the reading room of the Study Centre. A photocopier is at the disposal of visitors.

The documentation is updated regularly. New publications, articles and catalogues, useful for the study of the Early Netherlandish Painting, are systematically checked and introduced in the bibliographical database. To keep the database of paintings up to date, art sales, fairs and exhibitions are also checked for Early Netherlandish Painting.
